Early Years Curriculum
Sanur School aims to provide quality education in a safe, supportive, positive, create and friendly environment. Our highly qualified teachers develop programs based on the CAMBRIDGE Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The EYLF covers birth to 5 years and supports transition to formal schooling. The framework provides broad direction for early childhood educators to facilitate children’s learning, it guides educators in curriculum decision making and assists in planning, implementing and evaluating quality in an early childhood setting. Our playgroup and Kindy educators use the learning outcomes, principles and practiced outlined in the EYLF to ensure quality and consistency in the teaching of this group.
Sanur school uses the preparatory year as a transition to primary school; this is the year of schooling where students develop the foundation skills, knowledge and understanding to ensure a smooth transition to formal schooling. Our Prep classroom follows the curriculum outlined CAMBRIDGE with play-based learning underpinning the way the learning experiences are created. Allowing our students to learn through the play-based teaching method allows them to explore and develop their own knowledge and understanding with the teachers beside them scaffolding, guiding and extending their learning.
